Official: Seat León 3, all photos

The new Seat León 3 has been unveiled. One of the most popular compacts in our country has been completely renewed to keep competing in the compact segment. In theory the images are not due to be made public until Monday, but there is always some outlet that breaks the embargo and reveals them.
The exterior design takes the new Seat Ibiza as its basis: both the front and rear light units, as well as the side line, remind us of an Ibiza, only in larger dimensions. Without a doubt, the biggest change is inside, completely renewed and with a much more functional and modern design.

The front gains presence, whether in the FR model or the standard one. The light units stand out, with LED daytime running lights outlining the headlights, and LED technology will also be available (optionally) for the rest of the lighting functions.

The rear sees smaller changes, although the headlights, with LED technology and a much more avant-garde look than the previous generation, are the stars. In the photos, the standard model (white) is on one side and the FR (red) on the other, where the design changes can be clearly appreciated.

The interior still keeps a certain simple air, but now it seems to borrow the design of some Volkswagen, especially in the area of the multimedia screen, which is now located at the top. Meanwhile, the steering wheel has the button layout typical of the Audi, and the instrumentation (as we can see in the only available photo) has a much more elaborate design.

I suppose we will have more details or at least more photos of the new Seat León 3 on Monday, and after the summer we will see it live at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. What do you think of the new design? And above all, for lovers of the León, is it a worthy successor?
