Peugeot 508 First Edition, reservations open following its debut at the Geneva Motor Show
Peugeot announced from the Geneva Motor Show that, starting today, we can reserve the limited First Edition version of the 508, which will be delivered from October onwards

We had a small preview of the Peugeot 508 a few days ago, ahead of its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, something the French brand has already done, thus confirming that, prior to the launch of the new generation to the general public, there will be a first First Edition version sold as a limited edition, with sales starting in October of this year, 2018.

Aesthetically, this Peugeot 508 First Edition will have no special changes, apart from the badges that identify the edition in question. It is worth noting that it will come with quite a high level of standard equipment, and to achieve this it starts from the GT trim as its base, which is the trim that will sit at the top of the range in the new 508, giving it a more sporty look in which chrome and black will play an important role.
Future owners of this 508 First Edition will only be able to choose between the two colours available that have been selected: Dark Blue and Ultimate Red. Finishing with the exterior, the 19-inch Augusta alloy wheels will also be exclusive to this model, made in two tones, diamond and grey. Inside there will also be a blend of sportiness and exclusivity, with Alcantara upholstery with contrasting stitching, decorative wood trim, aluminium pedals, a black roof and ambient LED lighting.
Mechanically there will not be many options to choose from in the Peugeot 508 First Edition either, although it must be said that Peugeot has not held back and will offer the two most powerful variants. On one hand there will be the PureTech 225 CV petrol engine, while on the other hand you can choose the BlueHDi 180 CV diesel engine, both paired with the EAT8 eight-speed automatic gearbox.
On the technology front it will be loaded and will feature the latest advances. Starting with the Peugeot’s signature i-Cockpit, where everything has been created and designed for driving pleasure and driver comfort, such as the digital instrument panel or the 10-inch HD touchscreen, which includes 3D navigation with voice control and access to TomTom Connect services, allowing us to see real-time traffic data.

It also incorporates solutions for occupant safety, such as the Night Vision system, which can detect living beings ahead of the vehicle at night or in reduced visibility. The sound system will not be left behind either, a high-fidelity system signed by FOCAL, made up of 10 speakers that will provide a clear and pure sound within the cabin. And if we want to keep the music going outside the 508 First Edition, we will have wireless headphones created by FOCAL and Peugeot Design Lab, which also deliver the highest sound quality.
For the moment we do not know how many units, or at what price, will be available of this Peugeot 508 First Edition. What we do know is that Peugeot will set up a website from today, one for each of the 20 European markets where it will be sold, where we can already make our reservation. Once done, we will have to wait until October to receive our Peugeot 508 First Edition.
