Audi e-tron Electric Cars Concepts Geneva Motor Show
The Audi e-tron prototype is finally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show
This electric SUV is presented in prototype form at the Geneva Motor Show, although we will not have to wait long to see the definitive production version before 2019

We have read a lot about the new electric SUV from Audi, which in principle has only gone on pre-sale in Norway, but we finally have something more solid about this spectacular model. As expected, it was at the Geneva Motor Show, to which the editorial team at Highmotor travelled to keep you well informed about all the novelties presented there. And the Audi e-tron Prototype was one of those vehicles to see the light at this important event.
We have seen that Audi has chosen to present it dressed in a white, black and orange camouflage, so that some of the details forming part of its design remain a mystery until its official presentation. This will, in all likelihood, take place towards the end of this year, 2018, so we will not have to wait long to see the production car. This electric SUV will have five seats and an appearance that reminds us of a coupé, which will define its sporty style.

As this is a prototype, Audi has not wanted to go into too much detail about the electric SUV, so it has held back some relevant data to reveal later on. For example, we know that the Audi e-tron will feature quattro all-wheel drive, although we do not know the power of the motor or motors it will be fitted with. Being a vehicle with drive on both axles, it is more than likely that it has two motors, one on each of them, so we can imagine something. In this case, there would be no driveshaft, which would save weight and space that will come in very handy for fitting higher-capacity batteries.
Apparently, Audi is still testing this vehicle to fine-tune its performance, so the definitive version will surely include some changes compared with this prototype, once all the data has been gathered and the necessary modifications made to improve it. It is said that it will have good range and that its batteries will be able to recharge in just half an hour, although there is no data on battery capacity. Either way, we expect quite impressive figures, because we know which electric vehicles lead the market and that they must be surpassed or at least matched.
