Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport: the ultimate car for track days
The GT4 Clubsport version of the Porsche 718 Cayman becomes one of the best cars you can buy, prepared for fast laps on the track.
The new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is here, and Porsche succeeds the first Cayman GT4 Clubsport, presented three years ago. Among its many novelties, two versions will be offered for the first time. The “Trackday” model is aimed at amateur drivers, while the “Competition” variant will be destined for national and international competition.

Less weight and more power for setting fast lap times
Porsche introduces a first for a production car in the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. According to the brand, it is the first time natural fibre composite materials have been used in the bodywork. The doors and the rear wing are made from a combination of organic fibres derived from agricultural by-products, such as flax or hemp fibres.
Apparently, properties are achieved that are no less impressive than carbon fibre in terms of weight and stiffness. And when Porsche says so…

As for the engine, the 3.8-litre flat-six produces 313 kW (425 CV) at 7,500 rpm, an increase of 40 CV over the previous Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Maximum torque is 425 Nm at 6,600 rpm.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox. These put the power down to the asphalt with the help of a mechanical limited-slip differential optimised for competition use, and special tyres developed by Michelin.

The total weight of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is just 1,320 kilograms, in its configuration with roll cage, competition bucket seat and six-point racing harnesses.
Track use only, price from 134,000 euros before tax
Yes, the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport looks like the ultimate weapon for setting fast laps on trackday outings. But it is not exactly a cheap indulgence. The price before tax is 134,000 euros for the “Trackday” version. It includes special settings for the dampers, ABS and stability control, which can be switched off.

This version, which is not homologated for road use, also adds as standard equipment air conditioning, a fire extinguisher, a safety fuel tank with 80 litres and a rescue hatch in the roof.
The 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in its Competition version features adjustable dampers, a fuel tank enlarged to 115 litres, a brake balance adjuster, an automatic fire suppression system and a competition steering wheel taken from the 911 GT3 R. Its price starts at 157,000 euros, before tax.
