Porsche 911 GT3 vs BMW M3 GTS: who will win?

Little by little, I’m increasingly convinced that the guys at Autocar either have nothing to do or are gradually running out of ideas. Even so, you have to admit that comparing on video the performance of a BMW M3 GTS against the Porsche 911 GT3, and even wondering whether the BMW could actually rattle the Porsche, has its appeal.

Well, according to the Autocar drivers, these cars are not as different as one might think, since in terms of raw power the BMW M3 GTS is actually superior to the Porsche 911 GT3. Proof of what I’m saying is in the technical specifications of each, BMW homologated, aside from its lower weight, a 450 hp V8 against the 435 hp 3.8-litre flat-six engine used by the Porsche.

Now, could a lower weight and greater power from the BMW overcome the enormous traction capability of the Porsche 911 GT3?
