Porsche 911 Turbo S and Nissan tuned GT-R humiliate a BMW M5

Porsche with a 911 Turbo S and Nissan with a GT-R humiliate a BMW M5 in a drag race.

Today, luxury coupés such as the BMW M5 are almost as powerful as a supercar, if not more so, especially when the latter has a total output of no less than 592 hp.

The M5 can go from 0 to 100 in 3.4 seconds and its price is in the region of €134,000 without extras. However, these impressive figures are not enough to compete with the Porsche 911 Turbo S at €298,155 and 607 hp or the Nissan GT-R Track Edition, which has a starting price of €126,090 and 570 hp, although this version is tuned and has a total of 631 hp.

The incredible performance that the GT-R offers for the price it is available at never ceases to amaze us. Today it is arguably still the best sports car in the world in terms of value for money, especially considering its all-wheel drive, which makes it even more fun to drive.

Bear in mind that to find a car with similar figures and technical characteristics to the GT-R, we would be talking about having to double the price…

As for the 911 Turbo S, we are talking about one of the fastest-accelerating cars in the world thanks to its 600 hp and its light weight, as well as its impressive 750 Nm of torque, which takes it from 0 to 100 in 2.9 seconds.

Below we offer you the video showing this entertaining test, courtesy of Autocar, featuring these three monsters:

The GT-R seen in the video is the Nissan GT-R Track Edition, which, in this case, is a tuned version by Litchfield with 631 hp. In any case, it is undoubtedly a more than worthy competitor to the Turbo S, especially considering that the latter costs twice as much…

The M5, on the other hand, is a car that is usually praised by each of its owners, or by the lucky few who have had the pleasure of testing it. Of course, it is an incredible car that anyone would want to own; however, there will always be a difference between luxury coupés and supercars, and this drag race is the perfect example of that, where, unfortunately, the M5 does not measure up.

Even so, it is always a pleasure to see three of the most sought-after cars on the market face off openly in a drag race, although of course, next time it would be better to make it a closer match.
