Porsche and Volkswagen are merging, but not before the end of 2012

Two years ago, Volkswagen and Porsche began flooding us with comments about the possible merger of these two brands into one, along with the ten brands of the Volkswagen group, while each one remains independent. The merger process has continued, although it has already recorded two suspensions so far this year.

The date set for Porsche and Volkswagen to become a single company is the end of 2012. For now, neither company has been able to predict the possible economic risks of the merger (given the economic crisis) or calculate the value of the shares to be exchanged, so it has been wiser to proceed with caution and wait for a better moment.

What comes next is to evaluate other ways of preparing the merger and turning Porsche and the Volkswagen Group into an integrated automotive group, as originally intended.
