Range Rover SV Carmel Edition: luxury galore for just a few

This limited edition of just 17 units has been created by the personalisation division of the British firm, loaded with luxury and exclusively for the United States

If the latest generation of the Range Rover is already an ode to luxury, comfort and elegance, the new Range Rover SV Carmel Edition is the pinnacle of all this, as it has been created by the SV Bespoke division, which has given it an exclusive look and a host of elements that make its interior a place full of luxury.

Presented at Monterey Car Week, held between 15 and 21 August, Land Rover has chosen to unveil its Range Rover SV Carmel Edition at its “Range Rover House”, a special edition created to pay tribute to the Californian coast, of which only 17 units will be produced, exclusively for the American market.

Radiating exclusivity

Painted in an exclusive colour called Satin Bronze, created by the personalisation division for this occasion, the Range Rover SV Carmel Edition boasts a presence of another level, thanks to its new 23-inch diamond-finished alloy wheels, its more than 5.25 metres in length, and the combination of black for its pillars and windows, lower bodywork, and side fin inserts.

But where this special version truly differs from the conventional model is in its interior, thanks to its four-seat configuration with blue leather seats for the front occupants and brown leather for the rear. Furthermore, wherever you look, you find first-class materials, such as its gear selector or several buttons on its centre console, which are adorned with white ceramic.

Comfort to the max

Rear occupants have armchairs in which to travel first class, including a cool box, a set of crystal glassware engraved with the SV logo, electric drinks holders, two Titleist golf bags, and a rear tray, also in ceramic, on which to enjoy a good breakfast while travelling in comfort.

As for its mechanical side, the SV Carmel Edition keeps the same configuration as the conventional version, namely a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, 530 CV and 749 Nm of maximum torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

As you can imagine, the price of such a machine will not be within everyone’s reach, as it starts at no less than 345,000 dollars.
