Renault Alaskan, the pick-up that we won't see in Spain but is being renewed for Europe
The pick-up that Renault makes is not sold in Spain, at least for now, although the markets that enjoy it will get a new version of this off-roader

Pick-ups are the fashionable vehicle and are increasingly present in brands’ catalogues. Their main market is in the United States, but little by little they are also gaining ground in Europe. One of those pick-ups sold in Europe is the Renault Alaskan, a vehicle that arrived in Europe two years ago and has now been renewed. It was seen at the same event where the Renault Kangoo ZE Concept, the Renault Master and the Renault Transit were presented.
This new version of the Renault Alaskan has an increased load capacity, which in this new version reaches 1,100 kilos. Depending on the version, this means a load increase of between 127 and 148 kg, which is not bad at all. Towing capacity, however, remains the same, at 3,500 kg.

This increase in load is achieved thanks to an improved rear suspension, which also reduces vibrations, so it is much more comfortable to sit in the cabin. The Renault Alaskan also gains rear-axle disc brakes, as well as an emergency braking system. This system comes as standard in some markets and remains an option in others.

RENAULT ALASKAN
The engine fitted to the Renault Alaskan is a 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel unit that will continue to be offered in two power levels, 160 and 190 CV, although it now delivers a maximum torque of 425 Nm, an increase of 22 Nm over the current range. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, although there is also a seven-speed automatic gearbox for those who want more relaxed driving.
Aesthetically, the Renault Alaskan fits 17-inch wheels instead of 16-inch ones. For those who want something more imposing, 18-inch wheels are available as an option. The price of this new version of the Renault Alaskan is not yet known, but Europeans will be able to buy this pick-up model from autumn.
