This new special series adds broader, upgraded equipment and a sporty look that really suits the small Twingo

Renault Twingo Urban Night

The third generation of the Renault Twingo has been with us since 2014. Since then, it has become a very interesting option in the A-segment, especially with the recent launch of the fully electric Renault Twingo E-Tech.

To boost sales of its small electric city car, Renault has just presented a special series called Urban Night, which will arrive in our country in January 2022 with a very attractive look loaded with elements exclusive to this version and a high level of equipment.

Its aesthetic new features

In terms of styling, Renault offers four configuration colour options: Blanco Cristal, Blanco Qartz, Gris Luna and Negro Diamante. Whatever colour we choose, the French brand has created a customisation that, in the “light version”, adds aesthetic updates to the C-pillar, and in the “premium pack”, in addition to the C-pillar, also includes updates to the roof and rear doors.

In addition to this, this new edition brings specific details, as we have already mentioned, among which stand out black gloss alloy wheels of 16 inches, white elements on the front grille and the “Urban Night X” badge on the mirror housings.

To this charming exterior look are added new features in the cabin, where we find a gloss black dashboard, like its wheels, and the “Urban Night X” name. It also comes with black upholstered seats with white edges and a band on the backrests bearing the name of this version again.

Equipment and powertrain

Based on the INTENS trim, the new Twingo Urban Night will come with generous technology equipment, to which are added a wireless smartphone charger and a reversing camera with ultrasonic sensors to make the small city car easier to manoeuvre.

In terms of mechanics, the electric motor fitted to this Twingo delivers 82 CV and 160 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. The battery powering this motor has a total capacity of 21.3 kWh and allows it to travel up to 190 km of maximum range on the WLTP cycle. As for performance, it will be capable of 0 to 100 km/h in 12.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 135 km/h.
