Reservations are now open for the Renault Austral

The long-awaited Renault Austral has opened its reservations. The connected, efficient and technological SUV, “made in Spain,” is now ready to conquer the C-SUV segment. Reservations opened today, June 30, in Spain as well as in Italy, France, Germany and the Netherlands. It is worth noting that more than 34,000 users have shown interest in the Austral Now program.

The Renault Austral will be produced at the Palencia factory for both domestic and international drivers. The brand has stated that “more than 34,000 interested parties have already joined the «Austral Now» program for the new Renault Austral, active since February. In addition to the many contents available on the dedicated website, those enrolled in the program are receiving exclusive information about the model.

The Renault Austral is an SUV designed to be enjoyed with the family. Its driver’s position embraces the most advanced technology, its cabin is very modern and offers habitability and practicality comparable to premium vehicles. In addition, the screen of the OpenR system is one of the largest in the automotive market. It combines the display of instrument cluster data with a multimedia system and navigation that benefit from the best Google applications and services.

Modular and versatile thanks to the CMF-CD platform, the new Austral is equipped with a rear bench that can slide up to 16 centimeters, allowing it to adapt to each need by increasing boot volume or legroom for second-row passengers. Likewise, the Renault Austral introduces the third generation of Renault’s four-wheel steering system: “4CONTROL Advanced.” Unique in the C-SUV segment, this system provides maneuverability similar to that of a city car and, at the same time, road stability typical of higher segments.

It is worth mentioning that the new SUV debuts the second generation of the E-Tech hybrid powertrain, developed and patented by Renault. A concentrate of technology, the E-Tech hybrid powertrain features a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a new electric motor operating at 400 V. Combined, and depending on the version, they deliver 160 or 200 CV. Its efficiency, at 42%, is among the best on the market, and its consumption, from 4.5 l/100 km, is comparable to the most modern diesel engines, while its CO2 emissions are below 105 g/km1. All of this while providing a great driving pleasure.
