SEAT Alhambra Xcellence: more equipment for the veteran MPV from the Spanish brand
The SEAT Alhambra Xcellence has arrived to offer more equipment to SEAT’s MPV, adding technology and extra features to improve comfort

After everything that SEAT has brought us in recent months, we had almost forgotten one of the brand’s historic models. The SEAT Alhambra remains on the market, offering space and reliability for families. It has been on sale for more than 20 years and this is its second generation, which is said to be the last with this configuration before lending its name to a possible new SUV in a few years. Even so, it remains one of the brand’s flagship vehicles, and it has just introduced a new trim level for those who choose this model.
On the outside, a new front grille has been added, featuring an updated logo, chrome decorative trim on the window frames and roof rails, and newly redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels. To distinguish it from the other trim levels, Xcellence decorative details have been included, which give it a certain aesthetic difference. Otherwise, it comes with standard equipment, although technological elements have been added to improve driving safety.

The driver will have sensors to assist with parking maneuvers, while at the front LED reading lights have been added. These lights have also been fitted to the footwells, the glovebox and the courtesy lights to save energy. At the rear, occupants will find two new USB sockets for charging mobile devices.
As for the available engines, there is a 1.4 TSI petrol engine, delivering 150 CV, which can be paired with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. It will also come with three diesel versions. All will feature a 2.0-litre TDI engine: the entry version with 115 CV, the mid-range version with 150 CV, and the top version with 177 CV. The first two offer a choice of manual or DSG gearbox, while the last will only be offered with a DSG gearbox. For now, the price for Spain has not been announced, so we will have to wait a little to find out.
