SIXT gets rid of Tesla and in exchange buys 250,000 cars from Stellantis
The French automotive group has signed a sales contract with SIXT to supply 250,000 units of several models to strengthen its fleet.

The car rental company SIXT made headlines not long ago when it decided to sell all of its Tesla cars and get rid of them. Apparently, the company saw no profitability in using cars from the popular American brand, so it decided to remove them from its fleet. SIXT is one of the most powerful rental companies in the world, so a move of this magnitude is usually significant. To replace the Tesla cars, SIXT has chosen another brand to strengthen that fleet.
The Stellantis Group has reached an agreement with SIXT to supply 250,000 vehicles intended for rental. Apparently, since the details of the contract have not been made public, the company will receive models from several brands, from different segments and intended for different services.

It should be remembered that Stellantis sells 14 brands: Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, Vauxhall and Maserati. It is not known whether models from all of them will be included, but it certainly has plenty to choose from to offer to its customers in the American and European markets.
The SIXT purchase includes everything from conventional saloons to off-road vehicles, passing through crossovers, commercial and passenger vans and light-tonnage trucks. It is also known that among these models there will be vehicles with combustion engines, full hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery electric vehicles, so that every driver can find the vehicle they need at the rental company.
These vehicles are compatible with the telemetry system that SIXT incorporates into its rental vehicles. This allows everyone to have data on the usage and the fuel level used in each rental. So before long, the SIXT fleet will offer its customers a wide variety of Stellantis vehicles to choose from in its catalogue.
