Spain: presentation of the new Fiat Punto 2012
Fiat presents the new Fiat Punto, with more variants and two new engines: the TwinAir and two bifuel petrol/LPG engines.

Fiat has unveiled an update to the Punto that renews the interior with a new range and the exterior with new colours, while also strengthening its engine line-up with the TwinAir engine and the new LPG engine.
For the new Punto model, Fiat has taken the route of redesigned bumpers: the front one is integrated and painted in body colour; the fog lights feature cornering function and are located in the lower air intake. The grille has a honeycomb design and the chrome “500-style” strip has been removed; the Fiat logo is now positioned in the centre. The rear bumper has also been redesigned, taking the body colour. The fog and reversing lights have been extended; the logo on the tailgate retains its opening function.

The customisation options include five new colours: submarine grey, turquoise, ruby red, orange and lime green, with 15-inch alloy wheels added as standard. Four trim levels will be available: Pop, Easy, Twin Air, Lounge. The entry-level Pop trim will include manual air conditioning, CD radio with MP3 and steering-wheel controls, start/stop, front airbags, curtain airbags, central locking with remote control, front electric windows, rear head restraints, electric door locks and on-board computer.

The other variants in the range also add height-adjustable seats, Blue&Me with Bluetooth (with steering-wheel controls and USB), a six-speed manual gearbox, electric sunroof, rear electric windows, among other options. For the interiors, denim-style fabrics have been developed and, depending on the upholstery, they come in different colours for the inserts and stitching.
The engines will be the 900 cc TwinAir Turbo with 85 CV with Start&Stop and manual gearbox, the 1.2 8v 69 CV E5, 1.4 8v 77 CV E5; the bifuel 1.4 8v 70 CV petrol/methane E5 and the 1.4 8v 77 CV petrol/LPG E5; on the diesel side there will be the 1.3 Multijet 16v 75 CV, the 1.3 Multijet 16v 75 CV E5 and the 1.3 Multijet 16v 95 CV E5.
