The brand Spyker has gone through some rather complicated years, which have set it back considerably, to the point of being on the brink of disappearing. But, fortunately, it has managed to regain strength and has just presented a new model at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 that aims to make all eyes turn to it. It is the Spyker C8 Preliator, which has aroused much curiosity at the Swiss event.

This new model from the Dutch luxury brand features a Audi TFSI 4.8-litre engine, although it has been tuned so that its output rises to 525 CV, thanks to the incorporation of a twin-turbocharging system. All that power goes to the wheels through a Getrag manual gearbox whose design lets you see part of the mechanism.

Optionally, this model can be fitted with a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, something that could almost be considered heresy for this car, which seems much better suited to feeling the engine’s surge.

On the outside we can see a panoramic roof and an LED-defined light signature. If the exterior is impressive, the interior is no less so. The brown leather upholstery adds a classic touch. The dashboard is finished in aluminium and the gauges and controls are inspired by an aircraft cockpit. This aspect sets it apart from other supercar models and gives it a certain distinction.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of
322 km/h, wrapped in a luxury package and a continuity-minded design, in a model of which only 50 units will be built, priced at €324,900 for the manual version and €330,900 for the automatic. What do you think?
