SsangYong Korando e-Motion: the Korean SUV goes electric
The SsangYong Korando e-Motion will be the 100% electric version of the SUV arriving this same year, accompanied by another zero-emission SUV coming in 2022

SsangYong’s electrified range is gradually growing. This time with the new Korando e-Motion, which will arrive in our market later this year and whose details have partly leaked.
The SsangYong Korando e-Motion is the Korean brand’s response to the economic problems it has recently had to go through. To overcome them, SsangYong has decided to hit the electrification accelerator and launch two new models by 2022: the Korando e-Motion, today’s protagonist, a 100% electric mid-size SUV that will be positioned below the Rexton and arrive next year.

In terms of styling, the e-Motion stands out from its combustion-engined sibling mainly through a few small details at the front, such as the closed grille typical of all electric cars, blue-colored details, a new bumper and new aerodynamic wheel covers for better aerodynamic performance.
Technologically renewed interior
Its interior may also arrive with notable changes, since the latest leaks show that the electrified SUV’s digital instrumentation could feature a 10.25-inch screen and driver assistance systems that would give the Korando e-Motion level 2.5 autonomous driving.
The engine of the new Korando e-Motion will be an electric motor mounted on the front axle producing 190 CV and a 61.5 kWh battery that will give it a maximum range of around 306 kilometers on a full charge, with a top speed limited to 153 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of under ten seconds.

The first units of the SsangYong Korando e-Motion are expected to reach our country at the end of August, to reach our streets in October. Although this could be delayed by the semiconductor crisis that is causing so many headaches for car brands.
SsangYong will launch another mid-size SUV in 2022
The mid-size SUV we announced earlier, arriving in 2022, has the internal name SsangYong J100, an electric vehicle with an off-road-style appearance and sharper, more aggressive shapes that give it a robust design.
