SsangYong Tivoli unveils its new look in South Korea ahead of its global launch
The South Korean brand’s SUV has received an update that not only changes its exterior but also adds new equipment

The SsangYong Tivoli has received an update that, for now, can only be enjoyed in South Korea. This update has been presented as “The Very New Tivoli” and aims to offer a more attractive look for this SUV, which appears to be gaining ground in this demanding and highly competitive market. The first thing we notice about this “very new Tivoli” is a redesigned front fascia. The headlights have also been renewed, helping to give the new look that has been the main selling point of this styling refresh.
At the front we also find three fog lights arranged vertically on each side of the bodywork. The front air intake has also grown in size, giving it a more dynamic appearance. The rear has undergone changes too, although not as many are noticeable. The most significant ones concern the tailgate, which now has a more pronounced bulge. Below it there is a recess for the number plate, which is also more pronounced in this new version.

The rear lights and the rear bumper have also been redesigned to create a very specific image that elevates the status of this SUV, which enjoys moderate success in markets like ours. But it is inside the cabin where we find the most notable difference in this update. The driver will find a new instrument layout featuring a 10.25-inch screen.
The infotainment system screen grows to 9 inches, and the designers have added a new instrument panel and other elements that improve the cabin’s aesthetics. The air vents have also been redesigned to give a more modern look, and the steering wheel resembles the previous one. There is not much more information about the model, although the brand has announced a new engine for the revamped model.
A new engine will be available in the SsangYong Tivoli, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol unit that promises good performance. A diesel engine is also expected to arrive a little later. We assume that once the new Tivoli launch is complete, this new model will be available in the remaining markets where SsangYong is present.
