Subaru continues expanding its Outback range with a new special edition called Silver Edition, featuring new trims and equipment

It was precisely around this time last year that Subaru introduced a minor update to its Outback SUV, affecting both the styling and the technology for all versions. Shortly afterwards, the Outback added the Executive Plus S version to its line-up, positioned as the top of the range thanks to more equipment and small distinctive styling details.

Now that the new Subaru Outback range is also well established on the Spanish market, the Japanese brand wants to keep boosting its sales. To do so, it will offer a new special edition that sits between the Executive and Executive Plus S versions, called Silver Edition, which, in addition to distinctive styling, also benefits from expanded standard equipment.

Starting with the exterior of the new Subaru Outback Silver Edition, it features specific styling elements, using silver paint on the front grille surround, mirror housings, door handles, window frames and the model badges on the lower part of the front doors. Add to this 18-inch alloy wheels with contrast finish and the Outdoor Pack mouldings fitted as standard, although the sunroof is removed. Its bodywork will be available in all 10 colours offered across the range.

Inside the Subaru Outback Silver Edition there are also small changes aimed at giving it a unique, distinctive look: a textured silver trim applied to the dashboard and door panels, plus a mixed upholstery for the seats made of black leather and Ultrasuede microfibre. Finally, Subaru has created a package for this model called “Spare Wheel Pack“, consisting of the wheel, tyre, jack cork, bolt and washer.

Legacy

The Subaru Outback Silver Edition also benefits, like the rest of the range, from the safety systems package grouped under the Subaru EyeSight suite, 7 airbags, adaptive headlights, Front and Side View Monitor and Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection. Taking advantage of the arrival of this special edition, which already includes it and will be extended to the rest of the range, there is also the X-Mode system linked to its all-wheel-drive system, which includes the Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes for the most demanding terrain.

As with the rest of the Outback range, the new Outback Silver Edition can also be equipped with the 2,500 cc, 175 CV boxer petrol engine or, if preferred, its LPG version with the same performance but reduced consumption and emissions, which qualifies it for the ECO label from the DGT.

The new Subaru Outback Silver Edition is now available on the Spanish market at a price of €35,600, including a €3,000 discount.
