Suzuki GSX-8S: the 'street fighter' from the Japanese brand
Suzuki, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, launches a naked model with a 776 cc twin-cylinder engine and 86 CV, the Suzuki GSX-8S, which is available for €8,899

Lately Suzuki, the brand specialising in the production of motorcycles and cars, has decided to launch a new model in its motorcycle range. We have seen many launches from this brand recently, which has celebrated its 20th anniversary recently. Several of the latest models the brand has unveiled include the special edition of the Suzuki Swift Sport 20th Anniversary, or the iconic 125 scooters such as the Suzuki Address, the Across SUV and the Burgman Street, models that will surely lead the ranking of the most in-demand scooters.
While the brand has created all kinds of models so that its customers can enjoy unique and comfortable driving experiences, it is now focusing more on producing a specific model that is set to stir emotions, the Suzuki GSX-8S. The GSX is the new mid-capacity ‘naked‘ model, with which the brand will showcase a host of technological innovations and complete its range in 2023 with this model, which it has defined as a ‘street fighter’.

This model features the brand’s latest technological advances and an unusual style, with an aggressive, recognisable look available in three colours: white, blue and black. Its design has a distinctive appearance, with compact shapes, a dual front headlight with hexagonal surrounds and, both the indicators and headlights feature LED lighting.
In terms of performance, the Suzuki GSX-8S has an 776 cc DOHC inline twin-cylinder engine, the result of the Japanese brand’s extensive experience in competition. This engine delivers 83 CV and a maximum torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm, resulting in smooth and progressive performance. It also allows balanced, comfortable and sporty driving when desired, without compromising fuel consumption, which remains at just 4.4 l/100 km on the WMTC cycle. A version limited to 35 kW is also available for those who have just obtained their licence.

But let us not forget the chassis. The new naked model features a particularly robust chassis, a uniquely shaped aluminium swingarm, KYB-developed suspension including an inverted front fork and a linkage system for the rear axle. The brakes are equipped with radial-mount calipers and 310 mm diameter floating discs, together with a ABS braking system that ensures smooth, powerful and safe braking, and eliminates the need to squeeze the clutch lever to shift up or down.
In terms of technology, the GSX-8S does not fall behind. It incorporates a riding mode selector (SDMS), a traction control system (STCS), an ‘Ride-by-Wire’ electronic throttle and a bidirectional quick-shift system. These cutting-edge technological features ensure the brand’s commitment to offering its customers optimal performance and the most personalised riding experience possible.
The new and long-awaited ‘street fighter’ from the Japanese brand, the Suzuki GSX-8S, is now a reality at Spanish dealerships and is priced at €8,899.
