The Audi A6 and A7 receive aesthetic updates and their equipment lines are restructured

Audi begins June with changes to the A6 and A7 range, restructuring its trim offer with more complete standard equipment

Audi is fully developing the future generations of the A6 and A7, models that will also take the opportunity to change their nomenclature when they are presented, but this does not stop the German brand from continuing to evolve these models in their current generations, which have just been presented with minor changes that will be received starting next month and that will already be available in our country.

The changes introduced by Audi to the A6 and A7, including also the Avant and A7 Sportback versions, focus on a slightly redesigned front end but, also, the brand has taken the opportunity to restructure the range, resulting in an offer that will be simpler for its future customers, in addition to benefiting from greater customisation possibilities.

Thus, the Audi A6 saloon will be offered in the Basic, Advanced, S Line and Black Line trims; while the Audi A6 Avant will not have the Basic trim in its offer. On the other hand, the Audi A7 can only be combined with the S Line and Black Line trims. In general terms, all versions will benefit from a new honeycomb-format grille for the characteristic Singleframe grille, although depending on the trim its appearance will be different.

In the Basic trim the grille is finished in matt black with a chrome surround, while on both sides the Full LED headlights receive a new daytime running light. One step up, in the Advanced trim, the grille is chromed in a dark tone, the bumper receives new side air intakes and, at the rear, a new diffuser has been fitted that includes a trim in Selenite Silver colour, and a new set of 18-inch sport alloy wheels is added; inside, the synthetic leather upholstered seats stand out, included as standard.

We continue climbing and reach the S Line trim, which features chrome inserts on the Singleframe grille in both models. More specifically, the A6 also receives with this trim new redesigned front side air intakes with matt black elements and Platinum Grey inserts, wider side sill extensions, 19-inch wheels and sport suspension, and Audi Matrix LED headlights with dynamic rear indicators; while the Audi A7 now includes as standard with this trim 20-inch wheels and HD Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators.

We have not yet left the S Line trim behind, as with the S Line interior package the colour black for the entire interior is now also included as standard equipment, along with a multifunction sport steering wheel with shift paddles upholstered in leather with contrast stitching, stainless steel footrest and pedals, and illuminated aluminium door sill inserts. Furthermore, for the A6 a mixed leather and “Sequenz” fabric upholstery is also offered and, for the A7, leather and Dinamica “Frequenz” microfibre upholstery with the letter “S” engraved on the front seats.

Regarding the Black Line trim, together with the equipment it traditionally includes, such as the black plus styling pack, the flat-bottomed 3-spoke leather steering wheel and tinted glass, it now also includes as equipment the darkened HD Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators and animation for the A6 and 21-inch wheels for the A7.

Finally, on the Audi S6 and S7, both models will feature a front spoiler painted in Selenite Silver colour and HD Matrix LED headlights as standard; in addition, the Singleframe grille receives imitation aluminium inserts and more prominent matt black side air intakes for the S6 and, in the case of the S7, dark matt chrome. For its part, the A6 Allroad does not receive these changes, but that does not mean that Audi has forgotten this model, as it now adds Matrix LED headlights, synthetic leather upholstery, darkened rear glass, 19-inch wheels and ISOFIX anchor points on the front passenger seat to its standard equipment.

Finally, in general terms, both models will have twelve body colours including for the first time Arkona White and Madeira Brown metallic, while Granada Red metallic and Ascari Blue metallic are reserved for the S Line, Black Line and S models. Inside, customers will have five different decorative inserts, including the new Volcanic Grey ash wood or those covered in Dinamica microfibre.

These changes applied to the Audi A6 and A7 will be available in Spain from 1 June, with prices for both models starting from 59,810 euros and 80,450 euros respectively.
