Tesla is preparing more affordable models for 2025 in an effort to restore profitability
Tesla wants to launch several electric models that are cheaper than its best-known and best-selling cars, the Model Y and the Model 3, which will be presented in 2025.

Tesla is not going through a good moment, even though it may seem otherwise. Its electric models remain very popular and sell well. Even so, the results are not entirely positive, and the brand is going through a period of falling sales. Revenue came to 25,707 million dollars, although the initial expectations were 27,200 million dollars. In the fourth quarter, revenue fell 71% to 2,300 million dollars.
The results do not bode well for the brand, which nevertheless remains in a fairly high position. To keep the numbers positive and bounce back without difficulty, Tesla wants to launch more affordable models to reach other buyers who are currently outside the range of the models on sale.

What will Tesla offer us
For the moment, we only have the promise from Elon Musk’s company that at least two models with a more affordable price than the current ones will soon hit the market. What we could expect is that they will be reduced versions of the Model 3 and the Model Y, with limited equipment. But judging by what Tesla’s words seem to indicate, they would be thinking of new models.
It seems that they will be based on a new platform, which will begin to be used shortly. In addition, these models will feature elements of the current platform to cut costs. The possibility that these models will be assembled in the same plants where the current models are produced also guarantees a lower manufacturing cost.
There has been talk of a possible Model Q, so this could be one of those models that will arrive to make Tesla a more affordable brand than it is now. We hope that the price of these new models will be around 30,000 euros, which would place them well below the brand’s best-known models, the best sellers.
Another of the novelties announced by Musk concerns an autonomous driving system that will go into service in Austin, Texas. It will be a pilot program with which he wants to reach other cities in the United States, although it will have to prove that it is completely safe and that it can be practical and functional.
