The armoured Toyota Land Cruiser prepared by Inkas will protect you from any attack

Specialist armoured vehicle preparers work to offer the models they work on enough protection to keep the occupants from suffering injury. Inkas is one of these companies that build these vehicles, and they always end up surprising us. The models most used by the company are fairly recent vehicles, but in this case, Inkas presents us with a variant of the Toyota Land Cruiser with quite interesting armouring.

This is a unit of the Toyota Land Cruiser series 70, although today it is known as the series 76. It is a classic version with great off-road capabilities, something Inkas has known how to take advantage of and has enhanced with extra equipment. The bodywork has been the main area of intervention on the model, to fit it with the armour.

The armour used has BR6 certification, which guarantees protection against shots fired with high-power ammunition from assault rifles. In addition, the underside of the vehicle is prepared to withstand the impact of explosions from two simultaneous grenades.

But guaranteeing the safety of the occupants is only part of the work carried out by the professionals at Inkas. In this respect they have also fitted a motorised winch, a protective plate that bends on impact and acts as a barrier against explosions, reinforced hinges against attempts at access, reinforced doors and an aluminium roof rack.

As for the vehicle’s off-road capabilities, the suspensions have been replaced, improving their function. For Inkas, this model is called Expedition Espec. The company has not disclosed the price of the installed kit, but it is presumed to be even more expensive than the price of the vehicle itself.

The Toyota Land Cruiser series 76 is one of those classic off-road models that refuse to disappear. It was the successor to the series 40 and arrived in 1984. Over the following years the model’s look and characteristics have changed, making it more luxurious and comfortable, but losing many of its off-road capabilities along the way. That is why Inkas chose it to shape this armoured model.
