The Audi A6 e-tron Concept will arrive at the Shanghai Auto Show and we bring you a preview

The Shanghai Auto Show, which will be held at the end of this month of April, is at the center of all eyes. It is the first major event to be held after the pandemic and it is where many models that want to be the benchmarks of the coming years will be seen. Audi also wants to be present and for that reason it presents the Audi A6 e-tron Concept, which aims to be the immediate precursor to a production model.

This is presented as an approximation of what will be the fully electric version of the Audi A6, so we will be paying close attention to see what news the German brand proposes to convert the model to electric mobility. Knowing that it is an A6, we are sure it will have very complete equipment, both in terms of comfort and cutting-edge technology to guarantee the safety of the occupants.

A new concept of mobility

The foundation on which this model will be built is the new PPE platform, which will serve as the basis for the group’s new saloon models. This will be one of two platforms used within the group, although there will be a third, called J1, which will be intended for the more sporty and luxurious Porsche models.

As for the A6 e-tron Concept, we are looking at a car that stands out for its design, fully identifiable as an electric car. The closed grille confirms the presence of the electric powertrain and its dimensions retain the essence of the traditional Audi A6. It has a length of 4.96 metres and a width of 1.96 metres. The height is set at 1.44 metres and its design fully integrates into the brand’s new design language.

Complementing the modern and attractive image, the digital Matrix LED and digital OLED headlights offer greater luminosity than other models. Other small details include LED projectors that project a luminous image on the ground when the doors are opened, including warning signals for cyclists, for example. Small details that make it an interesting car to enjoy.

What it hides inside remains a mystery. The brand wants to wait for the model to be presented at the Shanghai Auto Show to reveal the capacity of its batteries, the power of its motors and its complete technological equipment. Stay tuned for all the information that will appear then!
