The Audi RS3 everyone was waiting for has arrived: with 500 CV and finally available thanks to ABT

ABT confirmed a few months ago that the Audi RS3 would receive some very interesting modifications. It is finally ready, and the German compact now boasts 500 CV of power.

We have been eagerly waiting for a good reason. A few months ago, the German tuner ABT unveiled its latest creation, the Audi RS3 Sportback and Saloon. Both variants feature a series of very interesting modifications, but the German firm wanted to take it even further. They are finally available and today we tell you all the details of the RS3 after passing through ABT’s hands.

As standard, the German compact -like the saloon version- comes with an impressive tuning setup, which gives the RS3 performance worthy of a true supercar. However, the four-ring brand has played its cards well, offering a versatile yet fast vehicle. ABT wanted to keep the Audi’s versatile character intact, but could not resist the urge to tighten its bolts and enhance its sporty side.

The RS3 comes standard with a 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder inline engine, capable of delivering 400 CV and 480 Nm of torque. This allows the 0-100 km/h sprint to take just 4.1 seconds, but ABT decided to push it even further. Thanks to a series of modifications to the engine’s ECU, the RS3 is able to reach 500 CV, outperforming several models from the brand and dangerously approaching the figures of a Audi R8 V10 or a Mercedes AMG GTS.

As an intermediate step, the German tuner offers a less radical modification, which keeps the German compact’s power stuck at 460 CV. Despite the substantial mechanical work, the engine is not the only element ABT had to modify. To successfully deliver the 500 CV, the tuner has installed a new suspension system on the RS3 and, at the same time, has also fitted a roll cage.

This new suspension comes courtesy of KW automotive, which provides a system that allows relaxed driving as sporty as it is refined. Furthermore, the brakes have also been upgraded, with the discs replaced by new 380 mm units signed by ABT. The exhaust system also differs from the standard setup, giving the RS3 an even more aggressive sound. After passing through ABT’s hands, it now features four cylindrical outlets, unlike the oval ones the German compact comes with from the factory.

Without a doubt, the Audi RS3 prepared by ABT stands out as a genuine “pocket” sports car, offering a perfect balance of sportiness and comfort. Customers who want to take the compact even further can do so from this moment on, since the tuner already has the relevant modifications available.
