The Audi RS5 Sportback has already succumbed to the charms of ABT
ABT has once again tinkered with the Audi RS5, this time in its Sportback variant, which can now develop a total of 530 CV.

Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda are the favourite brands of the German tuner ABT, who always manages to bring out the most rebellious side of the vehicles that pass through its hands. This time it was the turn of the Audi RS5 Sportback, one of the latest additions to the four-ringed brand, which is ready to experience a significant power increase, just like its coupé sibling. Thanks to the tuner, the four-door coupé is able to leave behind the 450 CV it offers as standard and set about the task of surpassing the 500 CV threshold and joining the heavyweight category.
However, the Audi RS5-R – the name it adopts after being worked on by ABT – comes not only with a new power range, but also with certain aesthetic changes. Thanks to these, the aggressiveness and sportiness latent in the German car come out everywhere, as these parts perfectly represent the character the tuner gives to its patients.
At first, we come across the aesthetic characteristic of the RS models of Audi, which are capable of projecting a much rougher image than the standard variants. However, ABT has managed to accentuate that reputation with the presence of several parts that modify both the look of the Audi RS5-R and its driving dynamics, a fundamental aspect when it comes to diligently managing the 530 CV it now declares.

The front now features a diffuser and a splitter finished in carbon fibre, complemented por side canards that improve the aerodynamics of the whole. On the side, the main protagonist is a set of 21-inch wheels with a specific design, which are still framed by carbon-fibre door mirrors. But it is at the rear where we can see the most new features, thanks to a spoiler finished in the same material and a new quad exhaust outlet.
Let us recall that the standard Audi RS5 has a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine capable of generating 450 CV of power and 600 Nm of torque. However, ABT has managed to extract a total of 530 CV and 680 Nm of torque§h14― from that engine, figures made possible by several ECU modifications, a new air filter and various improvements to the exhaust system.

Without a doubt, the German tuner has managed to offer a very exclusive package, a characteristic that the Audi RS5-R owes not only to its modifications but also to its production. This is because only 50 units will be built, and they will be destined for the most loyal customers.
