BMW Serie 3 Sedans Electric Cars
The BMW Serie 3 electric will have a range of 700 kilometres in 2025
The brand is presenting a new platform for the Serie 3 that will allow it to have a range of up to 700 kilometres, with powerful batteries and a new look.

Although a few days ago the top management of BMW assured that the brand would not join the trend of increasing the range of its batteries, the truth is that the company’s future plans contradict this possibility. According to a report by Autocar, BMW has announced that the BMW Serie 3 electric will feature from 2025 a new platform that promises a range of 700 kilometres.
This platform has been designed and built from scratch and can be used by several models of the brand. Several types of batteries can be installed on this platform, as it has been designed para to offer several configurations of wheelbase and track width. The platform is modular, so it can also be scaled to build several very different vehicles.

The platform will make it easier to design variants, both plug-in hybrids and others that use hydrogen fuel cells, so the vehicles can benefit from great versatility. The first model to use this new architecture will be the BMW Serie 3 electric, which will debut many of the advantages it offers over earlier platforms.
This platform promises three range levels of around 700 kilometres, a charging capacity of 350 kW, the range mentioned earlier and 800-volt charging. The new BMW Serie 3 electric will have a contained weight, as aluminium will be used throughout the vehicle. The new structure will also make the interior more spacious, so it will be a very attractive new car with a very high level of functionality.
For the moment, this platform is under development and will not arrive until 2025. Meanwhile, the BMW i4, i5 and i7 units will be built on the CLAR platform, which is currently in use and remains a good option for these vehicles.
