The BMW X5 PHEV transforms into this dark beast thanks to M&D Exclusive Cardesign
Customizers know how to bring out the best in the models they work on and turn them into even more intense vehicles, with extreme modifications.

Customizers strive to endow the models they work on with a personality that is even more appealing than what they had before passing through their hands. M&D Exclusive Cardesign is one of the German tuners working on brands originating in their country, and their latest work is proving very appealing. The proof is the BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance, which has received a sporty transformation thanks to the Prior Design body kit.
To achieve the look you can see in the images, 23-inch wheels have been fitted, which give the model a much more appealing and efficient look. And we must not forget a new lowered suspension. It is important to note that all of this has been applied to a version of the car prior to the model update, not the recent update.

The body kit for the BMW X5 G05 was presented in March of this year, but we had not had the opportunity to see it fitted to any unit of this vehicle. And we did not think it could be fitted to a plug-in hybrid version. The kit includes add-ons for the front and rear bumpers, a splitter, a new diffuser, a redesigned bonnet and twin spoilers at the rear.

The model presented is painted in Cosmos Black Metallic, which enhances the model’s powerful and attractive image. Black vinyl has been added to the glossy parts of the bodywork, so that it looks completely dark and imposing. This dark-car effect is complemented by the darkened rear windows.
The 23-inch wheels add a sporty and elegant spirit to the overall look. They are not the only wheels that can be fitted to the model, as Z-Performance ZP.Forged Mono wheels are also recommended, of the same size but with five double spokes. Both wheel designs are shod with Continental SportContact 7 tyres measuring 315/25ZR23.
The suspension has been modified with a Cete module, which allows it to sit slightly lower and closer to the ground. The wheels fit the new, wider wheel arches thanks to a set of H&R wheel spacers.
No changes to the PHEV engine
The plug-in hybrid powertrain remains the same, as the changes are limited to the vehicle’s bodywork. It consists of a 3.0-litre six-cylinder combustion engine. This is supported by an electric motor powered by energy stored in a 24 kWh battery. The combined system delivers a total output of 290 kW, that is 388 CV, and a maximum torque of 600 Nm.
Although we have seen how good this BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance looks, we do not know the price of the modification kit for this model, but it is known to be available for other fourth-generation BMW X5 models equipped with the M package.
