Chevrolet Corvette Supercars Videos
The Chevrolet Corvette with mid-engine layout greets us with its charismatic sound in this video
Chevrolet is preparing something different with the next Corvette, in which the engine will adopt a mid-rear position, and today it greets us.

The muscle car world has evolved remarkably over time, since today there are vehicles offering supercar-like performance, but the situation has gone further. Chevrolet, one of the brands with the most experience in this field, has wanted to keep evolving one of its flagship vehicles, the Corvette. This American model has already shown on numerous occasions that it has nothing to envy from its European rivals, something it achieves with excellent value for money and its impressive tuning, but Chevrolet has wanted to go one step further.
Over time, the American firm has shown us how its most muscular supercar has evolved generation after generation, until it has come to challenge some of the most iconic models not only of local origin, but also European. We have witnessed how the most radical versions of the Corvette intimidated everyone present after hammering the Nürburgring asphalt with impressive lap times, but now a new era is on the way.
Chevrolet has wanted to go further with the Corvette and allow it to compete against other models with a completely different configuration from the one we know of the American supercar. To do this, the firm has decided to prepare something very special, since we suspect it is a mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette, which means giving up its quintessential muscle car configuration.

In this way, the firm will only keep rear-wheel drive, since the engine has said goodbye to the front and moves directly to the rear. This way, the Corvette will continue competing with models such as the Mercedes AMG GT and the Jaguar F-Type, but now it will also be able to go head to head with other vehicles of similar performance and, of course, configuration.
For now, we do not know the characteristics of the engine hidden in this future generation of the Corvette but, as we can hear in the video, it still maintains an impressive roar. We can be almost certain that a V8 engine producing more than 700 CV will be responsible for delivering all the sportiness characteristic of this American supercar, which will be even more present thanks to the new layout it adopts.

For now, Chevrolet has maintained a great aura of mystery around the future generation of the Corvette, which arrives to break all the molds while remaining true to its essence. It will most likely not be until next year that we get to know the Corvette C8 but, in the meantime, we can enjoy short films like this one.
