Superсars beware: this is the Audi RS3 Sedan with 500 CV thanks to ABT

The world of sporty compacts is growing rapidly not only thanks to the brands themselves, but also to tuners, who are in charge of drastically accentuating their features. Over time, car manufacturers have adapted a new bodystyle for this type of vehicle that fits perfectly, the saloon, which we see applied in models such as the Audi RS3. As is customary, ABT could not contain its eagerness and has decided to apply all its expertise to this vehicle, raising it to unimagined levels.

The Audi RS3 presents itself as one of the most efficient and high-performance models in its segment, but ABT does not recognise the limit of the vehicles that pass through its hands. The German saloon already comes standard with an engine on a par with many models from higher segments, making it one of the most suitable cars both for enjoying behind the wheel and for taking the whole family along, but the German tuner has looked at it with different eyes.

ABT has taken everything that the Audi RS3 Sedan entails and has taken it to the next level, but always keeping the essence of the four-ringed sports car intact. To do so, the German tuner has made a series of changes both aesthetically and mechanically, but always placing considerably more emphasis on the latter with the aim of improving performance.

On the exterior we find some subtle changes that do not excessively alter the already sporty styling of the Audi RS3 Sedan. On one hand, we can see how ABT has made slight modifications to the front splitter, which accentuates the aggressive character of the German saloon. This is also complemented by the 20-inch wheels with exclusive design and, finally, the tuner has also modified the rear, where we now find a more pronounced diffuser that now houses four exhaust outlets of 102 mm.

However, ABT has wanted to save the best for the mechanical aspect, a practice that has become customary in the creations carried out by the tuner. The Audi RS3 -in all its bodystyles- features a 2.5-litre TFSI five-cylinder engine, which is capable of generating 400 CV of power and 480 Nm of torque, but these figures have soared into the stratosphere. ABT has installed a new intercooler and a new exhaust system, two elements that complement the ECU modifications which, taken together, are capable of delivering 500 CV and 570 Nm of torque.

These figures position the ABT-prepared Audi RS3 Sedan as one of the fastest models in its segment and one capable of standing up to high-flying supercars. At the same time, the tuner has installed KW suspension, anti-roll bars and a more powerful brake kit, with the aim of putting the 500 CV down on the road without incident and, at the same time, being able to reach 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds with complete confidence.
