The Chevrolet Cruze, Trax, Aveo, Spark and Orlando get new equipment features

Chevrolet updates its 2014 range with major equipment upgrades for its vehicles, covering both comfort and safety. The Blind Spot Warning system is added, the new MyLink infotainment system with built-in navigation for the Cruze, the Parking Assist for the Orlando and a few more options.
One of the main innovations, available on the top-spec (LTZ) trims of both the Cruze and the Orlando, is the Blind Spot Warning system. The Cruze will also be available with two different MyLink infotainment systems: one fitted as standard on the LT+ and LTZ trims, and another optional on the LTZ that includes built-in navigation.
In addition to the Blind Spot Warning already mentioned, the Orlando will now make parking easier thanks to the Parking Assist function, available on the top-spec trim (LTZ). This system detects parallel parking spaces at low speeds, measures them and tells the driver whether they are large enough to park in. The assistant also gives the driver instructions to guide them through the reversing manoeuvre.
New options for the Trax
The 1.4L turbo petrol engine of the Chevrolet Trax will also be offered with front-wheel drive on the 2014 model. With a six-speed manual gearbox, this Trax variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 6 l/100 km and it includes the Start/Stop system, which translates into CO2 emissions of 139 g per km. For this engine option (LT trim only), a six-speed automatic gearbox is also available.
The Chevrolet Aveo with MyLink gets a rear camera
Customers planning to buy an Aveo with the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system (available on the top-spec LTZ trim) can also benefit from a built-in rear camera. The device connects to the MyLink’s seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen and makes it easier and safer to manoeuvre in and out of narrow parking spaces. In addition, the LT, LT+ and LTZ trims will feature LED indicators on the exterior mirrors, and the LTZ will come with a rain sensor.
Other features coming as standard on the updated Aveo will be tyre pressure warning and six speakers.
The Spark with ESC as standard
The new-generation Spark will feature Electronic Stability Control and Bluetooth as standard, as well as a redesigned dashboard and refreshed colours. Orders will begin to be accepted from 1 October.
