The North American manufacturer has paid special attention to the range that can be achieved with this pickup, in order to address one of its customers’ main concerns.

General Motors is now ready to begin selling a new electric pickup in the North American market, the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV. Most importantly, it will finally debut at a price lower than expected and with an extended range in one of its versions. According to the manufacturer, this electric pickup will be available in the United States from $57,095 -roughly 52,180 euros-.

For all those who don’t want to worry about range, General Motors will offer the Max Range version of the Silverado EV for $77,795. The manufacturer promises with this version an impressive estimated EPA range of 492 miles, which amounts to roughly 792 kilometers. A figure never before seen in a vehicle of this segment.

Although this range may seem exaggerated for a pickup, we must not forget that many buyers of this type of vehicle often tow trailers or even boats, which considerably reduces the number of kilometers -or miles- that can be covered on a single charge. Offering such a high range will allow these customers to reach their destination even with a trailer.

In statements to the media, Chevrolet Vice President Scott Bell himself addressed this issue, asserting that many of his customers have made it clear to them that one of the main obstacles they face when considering the purchase of an electric pickup, rather than one with a combustion engine, is none other than range.

The LT version also doesn’t fall short on range

Additionally, General Motors will also market the LT version, with two trim levels: Standard and Premium LT. The estimated EPA range of this version stands at 408 miles, which equates to roughly 656 kilometers.

The Silverado EV pickup is produced at General Motors’ Detroit-Hamtramck plant, also known as Factory Zero, located in Michigan. This plant is the epicenter of GM’s strategy for electric vehicles of various brands, with components of both domestic and international origin. The company also plans to begin production there by mid-2026 at the Orion Township plant.
