The Citroën Ami shows its most sinister side with the special Dark Side edition
The Citroën Ami abandons its eye-catching colours with the new Dark Side edition that the brand has launched on the market to coincide with Halloween

Five years ago Citroën decided to venture into the world of micromobility with a very eye-catching and fun-to-look-at product, suitable for driving from the age of 14, obviously depending on each country’s legislation, and which, for a small and particular market niche, has achieved relative success with nearly 85,000 units sold. As you know, this is the Ami, a peculiar vehicle that undoubtedly catches the eye wherever it goes.
So peculiar that Citroën has even been encouraged to create different versions, such as the Ami Cargo, aimed at professionals and especially the delivery sector, or the quirky Ami Buggy, designed for leisure and enjoying the outdoors with aesthetic solutions that are somewhat surprising today, which was launched in 2023 and sold out in less than ten hours. Naturally, the Ami lends itself to versions such as the Ami Tonic and even special editions like the one we present today: the Ami Dark Side.

This year the Citroën Ami was refreshed along with its Buggy variant, and it went on sale last spring. Seeing how well special editions work, Citroën has taken advantage of Halloween to, as they put it, “awaken the dark side of the Ami” with the Dark Side special edition, in which, as you can imagine, the highlight in this case is black colour, leaving aside the striking colours that usually adorn the Ami.
In this way, the Citroën Ami Dark Side presents itself in the Black Night colour for its bodywork, a deep matt black tone that suits it very well. This colour is combined with the black border for the round headlights, which, specifically for this version, are joined by a capsule with a matt black chrome-plated trim highlighted by a white border, a colour also adopted by the brand’s characteristic chevrons.

Still on the exterior, the Citroën Ami Dark Side adopts the wheel trims of the Icy Colour Pack, which feature a cube-based design in white, with just one in red for the Citroën logo. Finally, both on the lower part of the door and on the rear pillar, there is another rounded-corner cube in black with a white border.

Inside the Citroën Ami Dark Side, grey tones have been used to preserve greater brightness, and the Icy Pack is also fitted, which includes three storage compartments installed in the dashboard, a bag hook in front of the passenger seat, and light grey storage nets, matching the grey stitching on the floor mats. A smartphone holder has also been installed, with which, through the My Ami Play app, you can control your phone as well as the car’s infotainment system.
The Citroën Ami Dark Side is already available to order at a starting price of 8,890 euros, while deliveries are confirmed for January 2026. We must not forget that, for those who wish, the Ami Dark Side can also be ordered in the Ami Cargo and My Ami for All versions.
