The Dacia Spring already has 40,000 units ordered in Europe

The Dacia Spring is the first electric vehicle from the Romanian brand, an electric SUV that offers quite an attractive range at a very low price.

Since the arrival of the Dacia Spring, the electric SUV from the Romanian brand, was announced in March, many people have shown interest in this vehicle. The crossover arrives with all the versatility expected of a Dacia and, above all, with a very competitive price. All this has led the electric model from Dacia to reach 40,000 units in pre-orders in eight months.

It is important to point out something: the first 16,000 reservations were made during the first three months after the Dacia Spring went on sale. In recent months an average of 5,000 orders per month has been recorded, counting from July. Another important fact is that these orders have come from urban, peri-urban and rural areas alike.

The success of a small urban SUV

The Dacia is usually associated with affordable cars that meet the minimum features expected at that price. And this is important, since with the Spring the aim was to repeat that achievement, offering an electric car at a competitive price that would be affordable for many users.

The idea is to provide electric mobility solutions with a vehicle ideal for users who cover an average of 30 kilometres a day. It may seem little, but that is the average many European drivers cover on a daily basis. Commutes from home to work and short urban journeys that can be easily handled by a vehicle of this kind.

The Dacia Spring offers a range of 305 kilometres in the city and 230 kilometres on the WLTP combined cycle, so it can fulfil the role of a daily-use vehicle. For longer trips it may present some limitations, but with the growing number of charging points along Spanish roads, it can also serve for medium-distance journeys.
