The electric FIAT Panda will be manufactured in Serbia, and this is its price

The electric FIAT Panda is getting closer and closer and is expected to be available from 2025, with a fairly competitive price, below €24,000

The arrival of electric cars from China is making European manufacturers nervous, and they are preparing alternatives capable of competing with them in performance and price. That is why small city cars are appearing, which can stand up to them, offering similar performance and a price just as competitive.

Stellantis is one of the brands working hardest in this direction and, very recently, presented the Citroën ë-C3, a model that fits this premise quite well. But it will not be the only one focused on it, and work is underway to build the electric FIAT Panda. This model will be very similar, with a compact size and performance designed for the city.

Manufacturing in Serbia

This electric model will be manufactured at the Serbian plant in Kragujevac, which once also produced the FIAT 500L. The inclusion of this model at the Serbian plant is part of the agreement signed by the Serbian government and the automotive group to increase Italian investment in the country.

The FIAT Panda is included in the launch strategy for affordable European electric cars, which also includes other Stellantis models, such as the FIAT 600, but also the Renault 4 and the Renault 5, for example. The starting price of the Citroën ë-C3 is 23,800 euros, so this model is intended to be priced even below that figure.

No exact details have been given about the final price of the FIAT Panda, although it is expected to be very close to that of its Citroën sibling. That said, there is information indicating that a multi-energy platform will also be used, so hybrid versions will be marketed as well.

In this case, a FIAT Panda can be obtained for a much lower price. A price of 15,000 euros is being considered for these versions, which will also have combustion engines. There is also talk of a cheaper electric version. This will have less range and less power, and its price will drop below 20,000 euros.

There has also been talk of commercial versions that will have only two seats, with cargo capacity for carrying goods and serving everyday work.

All of this is unconfirmed information, which will have to be ratified once the project is underway and it becomes possible to speak precisely about what this model will offer and at what price it can be purchased.
