The fastest Golf in the world with 920 hp, by Boba Motoring
A Golf that can accelerate to 400 metres from a standstill in 9 seconds is not an everyday occurrence, and that is the subject of this post.

Besides the fact that the Golf is one of the most acclaimed models of Volkswagen and one of the best-selling vehicles in the world until not long ago, it is known that the venerable hatchback can go from being an innocent car, just another one on the streets, to being a serious threat in terms of acceleration, with the right preparation.
In the case of this 1989 Golf, no expense or detail has been spared, as you will see. Above all, I can tell you that it is capable of covering the quarter mile in a flash, in just over 9 seconds (9.08 seconds), and that its 0-100 km/h acceleration rivals any supercar, at 2.3 seconds. Such a display of acceleration has to be achieved with modifications that leave no original mechanical component in place, as is obvious.
With a Garrett turbo and 920 hp, this Golf can keep its grip on the track thanks to a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, while the engine runs on E85. There is enough to write a whole book about the engine, and although it is only a 1.8 unit, the number of internal modifications is countless. Suffice it to say that the block comes from a diesel engine is enough to start understanding this Golf a little better, and we leave you a video below in which it smashes record after record in acceleration.
