The Ferrari 458 Spider from €257,476
Ferrari will bring to the Spanish market the convertible version of its 458 Italia, the 458 Spider. It will be available from €257,476€ with numerous extras. Here we review its new features.

Some months after the Maranello-based brand unveiled the convertible version of its 458 Italia, the 458 Spider, to the world, its prices have now been revealed. It will reach dealerships in our country in autumn 2012 with a starting price of €257,476, a figure higher than that of some of its rivals, such as the McLaren MP4-12C Spider, Audi R8 V10 Plus or the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster.
Unlike its predecessors, the Ferrari 458 Spider is the first in the convertible series to use a retractable hard top instead of the iconic and beautiful soft tops. It is made of aluminium to reduce weight and is able to fold over the engine block in less than 14 seconds.
The naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 with direct injection remains the same as in the coupé, generating 578 CV of power. The seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox remains unchanged. A faster and more aggressive version, mainly designed for circuits or roads with bends, is expected to follow later.

As for equipment, it comes as standard with 20-inch light alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, carbon-ceramic brakes, a navigation system integrated into the instrument cluster, and sports seats upholstered in leather. However, for an additional charge, our Cavallino Rampante can be fitted with numerous extras:
– Rear camera
– Tyre temperature and pressure monitoring
– Cruise control
– Adaptive lights
– Front suspension that allows the ride height to be raised
– Electrically adjustable seats and steering wheel
– Steering wheel with LEDs
– Two-tone interior
– Leather-Alcantara interior
– Premium sound system
– Carbon fibre interior
– Carbon fibre spoilers and exterior parts
