Ferrari didn’t want to miss the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2018, an event it attended with its latest one-off based on the 488 GTB, the SP38.

Ferrari continues to impress and revolutionise the motoring world with its unique creations, which seek not only to dazzle its customers, but also every lover of the brand. This is something the Italian firm achieves with its production models but, at the same time, it is able to heighten this feeling with one-offs, a series of vehicles that are even more exclusive and are built only to order. The Ferrari SP38, a model we told you about just a few days ago, is a clear example of this, but today it has chosen to delight us with its presence on video.

The Ferrari SP38 was born from the 488 GTB, and is clearly inspired by the iconic F40. In this way, the Cavallino Rampante brand has managed to create a model with a very special character while also being efficient, since it inherits the mechanics of Ferrari’s contemporary V8, something common in Ferrari one-offs, which are based on existing models.

The exclusivity that the SP38 exudes lifts it to the podium of the most special Ferraris ever built, since this kind of work is reserved for some of the brand’s most important clients. Even so, Ferrari has decided to premiere its latest creation on the occasion of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2018, where some of the most elegant vehicles in the world come to the event to win over those present with its design.

Ferrari has always been known for offering the world exquisite design work, and it was not going to make an exception with the Ferrari SP38. Thanks to this video, the beauty that the latest Cavallino radiates everywhere has been captured in greater detail, showing several features -above all at the rear- taken from the acclaimed F40. In this way, the Italian marque has perfectly captured a retro design with current mechanics, which is able to deliver performance worthy of a supercar with the prancing horse behind it.

The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 also makes an appearance in the video, since its soundtrack came to the fore during the recording. At the same time, this engine is capable of delivering 670 CV and 760 Nm of torque, figures that go directly to the rear axle and allow the SP38 to reach 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. However, the mechanical side is not the only thing that catches the eye.

The beauty with which the Ferrari SP38 delights us has been captured in motion thanks to this video, where one can appreciate in more detail the new lines that sit upon the base of the 488 GTB. In this way, Ferrari not only shows its capability in design but also somehow previews lwhat we could see in its future models.
