The Fiat Egea arrives in the form of an extensive image gallery

A few hours ago we learned that the new Fiat saloon is set to receive the name Fiat Tipo, thus reviving a name that is legendary in the brand’s catalogue. However, this car, although it will carry this name in Europe and Africa, was born with a very different one, which we have discussed on occasion on this website. It is a vehicle derived from the concept car that was named ÆGEA. It is manufactured in Turkey, where it has received the commercial name Egea.
It is one of the most anticipated models of the brand, so it is no surprise that it has attracted media attention, especially considering that it has become the successor to one of the most important names in the brand’s history. That is why, when we saw that the Fiat subsidiary in Turkey had distributed an image gallery of this model, we rushed to publish it so that you can take a good look before its launch in our market.
Apparently, the name was well received in Turkey, so it was decided to keep it for buyers in that market. There are no changes compared to the concept car. It retains its saloon look with a length of 4.5 metres, a width of 1.78 metres and a height of 1.48 metres. The wheelbase is 2.64 metres, which guarantees a comfortable and pleasant interior space, with a boot offering a capacity of 510 litres.

As for specifications, we are talking about those it will have in Turkey, the first market where this model will go on sale. The first diesel engine is a 1.3 Multijet II with 94 CV, while the second, also diesel, is a 1.6 Multijet II with 120 CV. To these is added a petrol engine, a 1.4 Fire 16V with 94 CV, all paired with a six-speed gearbox, both automatic and manual.
As for the Fiat Tipo, no major changes are expected, as you can see in the article prepared by our colleague Daniel. For now, you can view this image gallery, which shows several details of the car.
