The Ford Fiesta ST is already on sale in Spain with the five-door bodystyle

Not long ago we were talking about the 40th anniversary of the Ford Fiesta, and today we have been able to see one of the latest versions of this model, which arrives in Spain with a five-door bodystyle. This is the Ford Fiesta ST, which features a five-door bodystyle that complements the three-door version currently on offer.

This version arrived in Europe in 2008 and has been a sales success, having managed to sell 38,000 units, but until now there was no five-door version. Buyers who wanted the agility of this model but did not want to give up the convenience of rear doors have led the brand with the blue oval to dare to launch this variant.

A new bodystyle for an impressive car

With this bodystyle, the potential buyer base for the Ford ST is broadened to include familiesThe better access to the rear seats increases the potential buyer base for the car, since it makes it easier for children to get in and is more comfortable for families. This is not the only feature that makes this version an important car to consider. The presence of the 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine adds its power and efficiency to the package.

The output of 182 CV is combined with a maximum torque of 240 Nm to deliver the experience already present in the Fiesta ST, with a consumption figure of 6.1 litres per 100 km and pollutant emissions of 141 g/km. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is 6.1 seconds. It features a Ford Performance chassis offering optimised brakes, steering and suspension, supported by Torque Vectoring Control, which applies braking force to the inside front wheel when the vehicle turns to improve road grip and reduce understeer without affecting speed. It also benefits from a three-mode Electronic Stability Control.

With the addition of the five-door bodystyle to the Ford Fiesta ST, the brand expects it to account for 25% of the model’s sales. There are other elements that set it apart from the basic model, such as 17-inch alloy wheels and a distinctive design for the front headlamps and rear diffuser. In addition to an exclusive colour for this variant, Storm Grey, the interior features Recaro seats and exclusive details.
