Ford Mustang Mach-E Electric Cars SUV
The Ford Mustang Mach-E has already made its mark: its launch edition is sold out
Ford aims to end the year on a resounding high with the Mustang Mach-E, a model that has just announced its First Edition version is already sold out.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E, the first electric vehicle from Ford, is generating plenty of buzz on every front, and the fact is that the electric SUV from the oval brand has sparked considerable controversy for sharing its name with the illustrious muscle car. Nevertheless, this has not stopped many potential buyers from seeing this new offspring of Ford as a very serious option, as the First Edition attests, a special edition that has found itself in the position of having to hang the sold-out sign.
This tactic is very common among car manufacturers, who take advantage of the launch of a new model to offer, either for a short period of time or with very limited production, a special edition with much more generous standard equipment. Ford has made this same move with the new Mustang Mach-E, a vehicle that has caused a fervent frenzy.
Ford asked its customers to pay 59,900 dollars for the Mustang Mach-E First Edition, with a reservation that could be secured after a 500-dollar deposit. However, the oval brand has not disclosed the total number of units that will be produced of this special edition, though it has confirmed that production is sold out and those interested in the electric SUV will have to settle for the other trims on offer.

But what made this Mustang Mach-E First Edition so special? Mainly, it features a more striking look thanks to 19-inch wheels, red brake calipers and the option of covering its bodywork in the Grabber Blue shade, exclusive to this launch variant and designed to highlight its sportier side.
Mechanically, the most powerful setup sits at the heart of this Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition. In other words, it comes with a 98 kWh battery, all-wheel drive and the capacity to deliver 337 CV and 565 Nm of torque, figures complemented by a range of 540 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.

This is how Ford has fully entered the world of electric cars, a sector to which it will frequently turn throughout 2020. The oval brand has confirmed that during next year a total of 14 fully electric vehicles will join its lineup, a clear sign that Ford intends to bet on this new mobility that is here to stay.
