The happy days of Saab with its aerobatic team
In 1987, Saab produced a promotional video featuring its driving aerobatic team: the Saab Performance Team.

Saab lived through 74 years as we knew it Saab until this past Monday. Among models that were more or less successful and others that are now practically cult objects, Saab enjoyed quiet days and was regarded as the brand of the “odd Swedish cars”, a little behind Volvo.
Its rivals at Volvo exported more cars and their models were better known than Saab’s. But in 1987 Saab had a truck division that held a good part of the industrial transport market, and another aeronautical division that was going through its best moment. In addition, the brand had two other branches that manufactured navigation systems for the European Space Agency and military applications.
Things were going well, and the company even had the luxury of fielding an aerobatic team. In 1987, the first video was recorded, part of the brand’s effort to start becoming known to more people and in more markets. A small tribute to a brand that fought until its last day not to die. Others followed, and we offer them all to you below.
