Model 3 Tesla Sedans Electric Cars
The highly anticipated Performance version of the new Tesla Model 3 Highland makes an appearance in Valencia
With only a few weeks or a few months to go before Tesla unveils the new Model 3 Performance, the company’s marketing team appears to have taken a unit of its electric saloon to Valencia to capture some promotional images
Tesla presented the new Model 3 Highland at the beginning of last September. That presentation, however, had some peculiarities. First, it was announced at that time that this new model would only be available in the Chinese and European markets, leaving the manufacturer’s home market out. It was not until a few weeks ago that Tesla also began selling the Model 3 Highland in North America.
On the other hand, to this day many of the company’s customers and fans are still waiting for the Performance version of the new Model 3, since until now the American manufacturer has only offered the entry-level version, known simply as Model 3, and the Long Range version with dual electric motors.

Fortunately for all those customers who are already desperate over the absence of the Model 3 Performance from Tesla’s lineup, the wait seems to be about to end. Although the exact date on which the American manufacturer will announce its availability is still unknown, this should happen within a few weeks or a few months. One clue suggesting this is really the case is a video posted on social media showing a unit that supposedly corresponds to the new Model 3 Performance driving through the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain. Probably with the intention of shooting an advertising spot or promotional images for its launch.
Here it is
As can be seen in this video posted on X, this Model 3 Performance unit sports a striking ultra red paint colour, red brake calipers, new black alloy wheels, a new rear spoiler, as well as new diffusers at both the front and rear of the vehicle. Likewise, a particularly controversial element is the badge visible on the rear, which can be mistaken for that of the Plaid versions of the Model S/X, but in this case it appears to correspond to the Ludicrous designation. That is, the Model 3 Performance may change its commercial name to Model 3 Ludicrous.
Finally, although it cannot be seen in the video, everything points to the new Model 3 Performance -or Ludicrous- also featuring some changes to the interior. More specifically, some rumours point to the availability of new, much sportier seats capable of hugging the body better and offering greater support when driving on winding roads at high speeds.

The new Model 3 Performance will presumably be produced simultaneously at the Fremont plant in California for the North American market and at the Shanghai plant for the Chinese and European markets. For now, it is unknown when production will begin, but this could happen very soon. When we have more information on this, rest assured we will tell you all about it here at HighMotor.
