The Hyundai Veloster N enchants us with its sweet melody in video

Hot hatchbacks are a type of vehicle that are increasingly well-rounded, offering a range of performance typical of the purest sports cars of yesteryear. However, this strong success has forced brands that were somewhat more sluggish to show their best cards, and without a doubt, they have done so remarkably well. The Hyundai Veloster N is a clear example, since the Korean firm has improved in every aspect one of its most misunderstood compacts to date, giving it an improved design and a sporty version that rivals European competitors.

It is true that we unveiled the Veloster N just over a month ago, but we did not have the opportunity to experience its spectacular sound at that time. On this occasion we have come across a very special video, whose main protagonist is the melody that so harmoniously emanates from the exhausts of the Korean compact.

At the same time, the Veloster N not only sounds good, but also features styling that complements the whole package perfectly. We find various elements that already appeared on its sibling, the i30 N, such as the Performance Blue colour or red accents like the front bumper skirts, which help accentuate the sportiness of the Veloster.

Another element it shares with the i30 is its mechanicals, since the N version is offered with the highly attractive 2.0 TGDI. At the same time, the Korean firm offers two variants based on the same engine, the Performance being the most radical and sporty in the range. Thanks to it, the Veloster N is capable of delivering a total output of 275 CV and 353 Nm of torque, figures sent directly to the front axle.

Thanks to these performance figures, the Veloster N can reach 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, thereby outpacing most of its competitors. At the same time, the Performance version features a sporty exhaust and, as we can see in the video, treats the driver to a catchy soundtrack thanks to the crackles resulting from downshifting or lifting off the throttle.

For now we do not know the official prices of the Hyundai Veloster N, but considering that the i30 starts at 33,900 euros -a figure that rises to 38,050 if you opt for the Performance version- we can deduce that the Korean compact will be priced very similarly in both versions.
