The incombustible Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series already has a price in Germany
Mercedes-AMG has just announced the price to be paid in Germany for the new AMG GT Black Series, a model that lands in its home country at more than 300,000 euros.
Mercedes-AMG has returned to the fray with great force after reviving the Black Series name, a name that began with the much-missed SLK and now brings the AMG GT to life. It is true that several models from the star brand were entrusted with this exclusive designation, but Mercedes decided to take a break for a few years after the SLS, the last to date to carry it, departed. However, the AMG GT, the brand’s current flagship, recovers it with spontaneity and energy, and its price is a clear sign that the formula works and that it will not be for everyone.
For now, the outlay required in Spain for this new creation from the people at Affalterbach is still a mystery; but it is in its country of origin that the cover has been pulled off, allowing us not only to get an idea of its price in other markets, but also to anticipate what we will have to pay if we want to get our hands on the AMG GT Black Series here.
But what recipe has Mercedes-AMG used to justify the 335,240 euros that its new Black Series costs in Germany? Starting with the styling, we find countless elements taken directly from the GT3 racing variant, which not only gives it an even more imposing look, but also guarantees unprecedented aerodynamic work.

The front, governed by the already characteristic Panamericana grille, now features new ornamentation such as side canards, an aggressive and imposing splitter, or a newly shaped bonnet that takes care of cooling the colossal twin-turbo V8. The side flexes its muscles with widened wheel arches, but the true engineering feat is found at the rear, where a wing of disproportionate size sits and a diffuser designed to keep the wind from getting in the way of the AMG GT Black Series.
However, none of this would make sense if there were no source driving the exaggeration of its styling and aerodynamics; and of course there is. It is the already familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, but taken to the next level, a level that allows it to deliver 730 CV and 800 Nm of torque. These figures come courtesy of two twin-entry turbos, a larger intercooler, a new camshaft and a redesigned exhaust system.

With this premise, we find a supercar brought to its maximum splendour and ready to carry on a legacy that once stirred great passions. Without a doubt, the AMG GT Black Series will not go unnoticed in the Spanish market, whose price, after taxes, will not fall below 300,000 euros.
