The interior of the Skoda Elroq is environmentally friendly: recyclable and sustainable materials

The Czech brand is revealing details about the launch of the Skoda Elroq, so now it’s time to look at some details of its cabin interior.

Skoda Elroq Interior Detalles (1)

We are looking at details of the Skoda Elroq, but the cabin interior still needed to be presented in detail. Now, the brand has revealed something we think is very good. The materials used are sustainable, and many of them come from other recycled items. It has been confirmed that the electric SUV will feature four trim levels.

These are named Loft, Lodge, Suite and Studio. Among them, the Loft stands out for being made with Recytitan, a material made from 78% recycled PET. The Elroq is also the first model from the brand to use clothing recycled after its regular use among its materials. It has been processed to obtain quality fibres, which have been turned into fabrics used in the upholstery and other areas of the cabin.

The Recytitan will be used for the seat covers, door panels, dashboard, armrests and other places where fabric is used. This material is not only sustainable, but has also been created to achieve a very well-balanced combination of comfort, durability and sustainability.

The Loft trim will look dark greyish blue, with dark artificial leather details. The stitching is reflective yellow, creating a very interesting contrast.

The Lodge trim is also oriented towards sustainability, but in this case it uses a material called Technofil. This material is made of polyester and recycled Econyl yarns. The nylon used is obtained from fishing nets, fabric offcuts and carpets.

The Lodge design is also eco-friendly, but it uses a material called Technofil, made of polyester and recycled Econyl yarns, which are made from nylon obtained from fishing nets, fabric offcuts and carpets. Buyers will find a black fabric that contrasts with light grey artificial leather. The stitching will also be in contrast, but on this occasion in orange.

We know little more about the Elroq’s interior, but we do know it will adopt the Modern Solid design, which offers “simplicity, spaciousness and clean lines“. The sketches made public of this interior show a standalone infotainment system, ambient lighting and a minimalist centre console.

There are also quite slim air vents and a digital instrument cluster. Bit by bit, we are learning more about this model, which will be based on the MEB platform, with four different engine options. The entry-level model offers a 55 kWh battery and a rear-mounted motor with 125 kW of power, which is 168 CV.

At the top of the range we find a all-wheel-drive variant with two motors and an 82 kWh battery. Combined power is 220 kW, equivalent to 299 CV. The model will be able to reach a maximum range of 560 kilometres.
