The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is the most exuberant, wild and radical SUV yet, with its 550 CV

Performance is spreading across every segment of the market and, as might be expected, SUVs too are increasingly in favour of offering a far more radical tuning. Jaguar has wanted to bring its sporting philosophy to one of its most coveted models, the F-Pace. On this occasion, the British SUV adopts the SVR badge to unleash its wildest side and deliver performance worthy of a true supercar, something it achieves with great success.

The British firm has made sure to exalt every last detail of the F-Pace, pushing its SUV identity into the background and handing the spotlight to the essence conferred by the SVR name. The mechanics, aerodynamics and styling have all undergone significant changes, which together offer a package worthy of the name it carries.

The first thing that catches the eye of the F-Pace SVR is the perfect harmony between elegance and the sportiness that the English SUV exudes. On one hand, the front bumper invites you to move aside should it appear in your rear-view mirror, as aggressiveness governs the front grille, flanked by two large air intakes that complete the ensemble. The side has a calmer spirit where the most striking feature is undoubtedly the eye-catching 21-inch wheels that enrich the styling of the F-Pace.

At the rear of the SUV, its sportiest and wildest side reawakens, achieved thanks to four cylindrical exhaust outlets and a small spoiler that ensures the air flows uninterrupted over the body of the F-Pace SVR. However, despite the styling enhancements, the greatest appeal is its mechanical package, which elevates every sense of the British off-roader to the next level.

If we lift the SVR’s bonnet, we realise it is no cute kitten, but rather a full-grown jaguar about to devour its prey. Responsible for setting the F-Pace apart from conventional SUVs is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 capable of producing 550 CV and 680 Nm of torque, figures on a par with its sibling the F-Type and other supercars such as the Audi R8 V10. This power enables the F-Pace SVR to reach 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 283 km/h.

This is made possible by the electronic rear differential, which delivers better cornering and greater traction. At the same time, the V8 sends all its power to the four wheels, a feature perfect for enjoying the SVR’s high performance even more. This blend of sportiness and practicality makes the F-Pace the ideal companion for any situation, as it boasts supercar-level figures while also offering a 650-litre boot, more than enough space for travelling in comfort.

For the time being we do not know the price the Jaguar F-Pace SVR will carry in the Spanish market, but the British firm has made statements about the price in its home country. Specifically, the most radical F-Pace will cost £74,835, equivalent to €85,414 at the current exchange rate, and orders for this special SUV will open from summer onwards.
