The Jaguar XF gets a makeover inside and out
The update for the Jaguar XF has arrived. The model now features new engines and a redesigned interior.

Jaguar has just unveiled the redesigned XF 2021, and it not only has a fresh, new exterior but also benefits from a series of technological improvements and its powertrain. Starting with the exterior, the redesigned Jaguar XF features a revised front grille and new headlights with “Double J” LED daytime running lights. The designers at Jaguar have also created new front and rear bumpers for the new Jaguar XF, as well as fitting a set of modified rear lights.

Under the skin, it abandons the V6 engine and is available with two new four-cylinder petrol engines. The first produces 250 CV and 365 Nm and is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, while the second is also a 2.0-litre turbo unit but delivers 300 CV and 400 Nm. It also comes as standard exclusively with eight-speed and all-wheel drive.

Jaguar XF, this is how the legendary model has been redesigned
Jaguar says the base 2.0-litre model can reach 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, while the flagship petrol variant with all-wheel drive reaches the same mark in 5.8 seconds. Other markets will be offered a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that comes complete with a mild hybrid system with a 48-volt system and an integrated belt starter generator. This variant produces 200 CV and 430 Nm of maximum torque. In addition, it has an eight-speed automatic gearbox available with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems.

Inside, the highlight of the redesigned Jaguar XF 2021 is a new 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen that is not currently available on any other Jaguar model. This screen is not only 48% larger than the previous one, but it is also three times brighter and features a simplified menu structure that allows drivers to access or view up to 90% of common tasks from the home screen in two taps or fewer. The screen also includes the carmaker’s latest Pivi Pro operating system, which features Apple CarPlay as standard and Android Auto as standard in select markets. The Pivi Pro system also offers over-the-air software updates.

Jaguar has also equipped the new saloon with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that offers a configurable design and works together with a Head-Up Display. For now, no pricing or availability details have been announced.
