Next year, Lexus will make several new variants of the Lexus RZ available to buyers, with technological updates that improve its driving.

Lexus welcomes 2026 with new RZ variants, which debut technology and engines, so that those who decide to get behind the wheel of this model can enjoy the experience even more. This driving-enhancing technology is based on the Lexus Direct4 all-wheel-drive system.
The two versions joining the range are the RZ 500e and the RZ 500e F SPORT. Both will benefit from the evolution of this drive system and from the adjustments made to the suspension and body rigidity. Improvements have also been made to reduce the noise and vibration produced while driving.

The Lexus Direct4 system
This four-wheel-drive system allows power to be distributed more efficiently between the front and rear axles, improving the driving experience. Traction and stability are now greater, and the vehicle can be controlled more effectively. One of the improvements is the wider distribution of engine torque, which helps the car feel more comfortable to drive.

LEXUS RZ 2026
Driver assistance functions more efficiently thanks to the incorporation of the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system. It manages systems such as ABS, traction control, stability control, brake force distribution and electric power steering to improve safety.
VDIM monitors the operation of all these assistance systems, allows them to work in a coordinated way and improves safety at all times.
The Lexus RZ is the first Lexus to feature Lexus STEER BY WIRE steer-by-wire steering. Because the steering is wire-based, the steering wheel position can be changed, creating more space for the driver, who can handle the car more comfortably. The system comes as standard on the Lexus RZ 500e F SPORT and as an option on the Lexus RZ 500e-Luxury.
One of the advantages of this steering system is that it has a lock-to-lock steering angle of 200º. This greater travel improves control on tight bends. When turning at low or medium speeds, handling is improved. The steering ratio also adjusts to different speed conditions, making turning more practical and easier depending on the speed you are travelling at.
Another advantage is the jet-style design of the steering wheel. The ergonomics of this steering wheel help maintain a more pleasant and comfortable driving posture and allow a better view of the instrument display.
