The Lotus Esprit of Dany Bahar for sale
Dany Bahar’s personal Lotus Esprit, built on the back of Lotus, has been put up for sale by the same Lotus through its dealerships in Great Britain.

The position of CEO or managing director of a car brand comes with perks that many would envy, such as having several cars at their disposal whenever they want. While some keep a lower profile than others, the outgoing CEO of Lotus seems to have been among those who didn’t deny themselves anything, making good use of their prerogatives as the head of Lotus.
Dany Bahar bought a 2002 Esprit Turbo and commissioned Lotus employees to carry out a complete rebuild in the same factory; from the transmission to the interior, all the way to the engine, which even received a slight power boost. All done with original parts and using part of the company’s funds, and Bahar’s personal Esprit also had other unique details that only appeared on the 2003 Esprit Final Edition.
As it happens, the car was finished almost at the same time Bahar was dismissed from his duties at Lotus, for using part of the company’s money on personal ventures, such as decorating several of his homes (because he didn’t have just one). Perhaps this Esprit also contributed to his dismissal, something nobody knows, or will ever know.
The car has been put up for sale through the Lotus dealership network in the United Kingdom, with 36,000 kilometres on the clock. As for the price, there’s nothing to add, since it hasn’t been revealed.
