We know it is one of the most interesting cars on the market. When you have a premium SUV with 575 CV of power and 750 Nm of maximum torque, it is hard to make it look any more attractive. But if it is a version tuned by the company Manhart, that could be possible. And this is what they have achieved with the Manhart Performance MHX5, a study of the BMW X5 M that improves on the base model.

To begin with, we must say that it uses the same 4.4-litre V8 engine as the original, but it has been upgraded to 750 CV and fitted with a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm, considerably more than the basic model. We do not know the 0-100 km/h acceleration time, but given that the other model does it in 4.2 seconds, it is reasonable to assume that the tuned model will bring that time below 4 seconds. We know that little more can be shaved off that time, since no matter how much power they add, they cannot defeat the laws of physics.

Aesthetically, this version has some additions that enhance the image of a bold, high-end SUV that characterises the BMW model. The front has a new and more attractive design, a change to the look of the brand emblem and a slightly different black grille. The mirror caps are made of carbon fibre, and at the rear there is a modified exhaust and a spoiler.

The wheels are fitted with black alloy wheels measuring 23 inches, which makes it far more visually striking. It will still take a little while to become available, and we do not yet know the final price of this version, which expands and enhances the aesthetic and sporting value of the BMW X5 M. What is clear is that the lucky ones who can get hold of one are going to enjoy it a great deal.
